On Wednesday, the 27th of October, Telangana reported 186 new cases with one death and 122 recoveries. The new cases were confirmed by conducting 41,392 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection.
On Wednesday, the State Health Department conducted more than 40,000 tests for COVID-19. Recently, the Telangana Health Department conducted below 40,000 tests for COVID-19 (38,000.)
With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department crossed 2.74 crore COVID-19 tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, despite the low number of cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) region continues to report more than 50 cases regularly. In the past 24 hours, the GHMC limit reported 65 cases, the highest number of the Wuhan virus cases.
With this, Telangana now has 6,70,829 positive cases, of which 4,164 are active cases, 6,62,714 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,951 are deceased. After reporting below 4,000 (3,949) active cases in the past one week, the State again witnessed a surge in COVID-19 active cases. In the past 24 hours, the total active cases of the Wuhan virus increased by 63 cases. On Tuesday, the active cases were 4,101 which increased to 4,164 cases in 24 hours.
The recovery rate of Telangana also fell to 98.79 % from the previous 98.81 %. However, the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past four and half months at 0.58 %.
