On Tuesday, the 2nd of November, Telangana reported 167 new cases with one death and 207 recoveries. The new cases were confirmed by conducting 37,941 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection. For the third consecutive day, the number of tests decreased from the usual 40,000 tests a day to 37,941.

With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department crossed 2.75 crore COVID-19 tests till date.

The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.

According to the COVID-19 data, despite the low number of cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) region continues to report more than 50 cases regularly. In the past 24 hours, the GHMC limit reported 66 cases, the highest number of the Wuhan virus cases.

With this, Telangana now has 6,71,790 positive cases, of which 3,933 are active cases, 6,63,898 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,959 are deceased.

The recovery rate of Telangana also increased to 98.80 % from the previous 98.79 %. However, the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past five months at 0.58 %.
