On Friday, the 19th of November, Telangana reported 137 new cases of the Wuhan virus (the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) The number of COVID-19 cases in Telugu State has been below 200 since the past 2 months.
Besides 144 new cases, the State witnessed 1 death and 173 recoveries.
The new cases were confirmed by conducting 31,054 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection. The Telangana State Health Department conducted the fewer number of COVID-19 cases, compared to the previous 40,000 to 44,000 tests. With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department conducted 2,82,25,241 (2.82 crores) COVID-19 tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) is the only area, which reports the highest number of cases regularly. Yesterday the GHMC limit reported 48 new COVID-19 cases.
With this, Telangana now has 6,74,318 positive cases, of which 3,657 are active cases, 6,66,682 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,975 are deceased.
The recovery rate of Telangana is at 98.86% and the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past five months at 0.58 %.
