In the past 24 hours, Telangana recorded 3,464 new cases of the Wuhan virus also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)

This is the fourth consecutive day that the daily Wuhan virus cases were below 4,000 in Telangana. In addition to the 3,464 new cases, the Telangana Health Department confirmed 25 new fatalities and 4,801 recoveries/discharged cases in the past 24 hours.

The cases were reported after the Telangana Medical Department conducted as many as 65,000 sample tests for the Wuhan virus infection, taking the cumulative total to more than 1.44 crores.

The aforementioned data regarding the COVID-19 infection was updated through a media bulletin, released on the night of the 21st of May. With this, Telangana has 5,47,727 positive cases, of which 44,395 are active cases, 5,00247 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,085 are deceased cases.

It is to be noted, of all the 33 districts, the regions of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limit, Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri have the highest number of COVID-19 cases. 

However, since the lockdown was imposed, the State reported a dip in the daily cases with better recovery. As of now, Telangana has 91.33 % recovery rate and 0.56 % fatality rate.
