On the 24th of September, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE,) released the schedule of Intermediate Public Exam (IPE) for the first year. The Intermediate exam for the 2020-2021 academic session is set to begin from the 25th of October.

The IPE 2021 would be conducted till the 2nd of November in the morning session, 9:00 A.M., to 12 noon.

Below is the TS Intermediate First Year Examination For 2020-2021 academic session:

How exams would be held amid the ongoing Wuhan virus pandemic?

The IPE first year exams would be conducted based on 70 % syllabus.

Only vaccinated Invigilator/personnel would be appointed for the conduct of the examinations.

All COVID-19 protocols like mask wearing, sanitization and social distancing would be followed at every examination centre.

Authority would arrange isolation rooms in every examination centre for allotting the students suffering from the suspected symptoms.

Medical staff/nurses would be appointed in the centre throughout the examination days.

It is to be noted, the students who are currently studying in the second year, need to take the first year examination, which was cancelled due to the Wuhan virus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In April 2021, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government promoted all Intermediate first year students to second year, without examinations. The decision was taken in the wake of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

However, recently, Ms. P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, the Telangana Education Minister, addressed the media and said, the Education Department is soon going to announce TS Intermediate first year exams and promoted students (students of 2nd year) need to take the examination.

According to sources, close to 4.59 lakh students had been registered for the first year examinations of the academic session 2020-2021.
