Telangana Government Launches Major COVID-19 Vaccination Drive For Minorities, Transgenders And People Without Aadhar Card

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government launched a special vaccination drive in Hyderabad to give vaccination to 5,000 people.

Launched on the 15th of June, this vaccination drive against the deadly Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) would vaccinate special people.  In this drive, police personnel have mobilised people from various colonies in Hyderabad, especially those who don’t have access to digital platforms.   In addition, underprivileged, ragpickers, transgenders, minorities and people without Aadhaar cards were allowed to get the vaccine jabs.

The corporate sector and the Telangana Government have come together and launched the drive, free of cost.

n the mega vaccination event, Rainbow Hospitals with its medical support and Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) took a major initiative, for arranging everything as per the COVID-19 protocols. 

This is the second time, the Telangana Government launched such special vaccination drive.  Recently, the K. Chandrashekar Rao led TRS Government launched a special drive to vaccinate super spreaders.   These super spreaders include people of several working categories. Delivery boys, journalists, LPG Cylinder workers, drivers, shopkeepers, vendors and others are listed as high risk spreaders of the Novel Coronavirus.
