The Telangana Government on the 11th of May, announced partial lockdown for the next 10 days.

The decision was taken by K. Chandrashekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, in the wake of the rising number of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) On Tuesday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government conducted a Cabinet meeting at 2:00 P.M.

The Government decided to go with the lockdown to curb the spread of the deadly virus. The announced 10 day Statewide lockdown would begin from the 12th of May and would continue till the 22nd of May.

In the lockdown, there would be certain relaxation for all the activities from 6:00 A.M., to 10:00 A.M., in Telangana.

However, essential commodities, medical emergencies, and other essential services would be exempted from the imposed lockdown.

The Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) released a statement regarding the same. The complete guidelines regarding the Telangana lockdown are expected to be issued shortly.

Top state officials, Cabinet ministers, Health officials and others attended the meeting.
