Saudi Arabia, on the 23rd of September, suspended air travel arrival and departure to India, Brazil and Argentina.

The decision was taken in the wake of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

India is the second worst hit Novel Coronavirus nation with more than 5.5 million cases and Brazil is the third worst COVID-19 hit nation.

According to the country’s Civil Aviation Authority, people with travel history to any of the mentioned countries 14 days prior to their arrival to the Kingdom, have also been barred.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation Ministry of Saudi Arabia said, “Suspending travel to and from the following countries (India, Brazil, and Argentina) including any person who has been in any of the mentioned countries in the last (14) days prior to their arrival to the Kingdom.”

However, those who have official government invitations are excluded from the issues suspension in flights.

In Saudi Arabia there are 330,798 COVID-19 cases till date.
