On the 15th of May, Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over decomposed bodies in the Ganga river. 

Recently, several decomposed bodies were found floating in the river Ganga in several cities of Uttar Pradesh.

Criticising PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and said, “The one who said Ganga has called him, has made the Mother Ganga cry.”

The tweet in Hindi read, ” जो कहता था गंगा ने बुलाया है,

उसने माँ गंगा को रुलाया है।”

In his tweet, Rahul Gandhi also attached a news report which claimed 2,000 dead bodies have been found in the 1,140 km long river Ganga.

The dead bodies are said to be of the people who died due to the Wuhan virus (Novel Coronavirus.)

This is not the first time, Rahul Gandhi took a potshot at PM Modi over decomposed bodies, the situation due to the Wuhan virus and low oxygen and failed medical infrastructure.

Recently, on the 13th of May, Mr. Gandhi said, “The prime minister is also missing, along with vaccines, oxygen and medicines. All that remain are the central vista project, GST on medicines and the prime minister’s photos here and there.” Taking a dig at the floating dead bodies in the Ganga, Rahul Gandhi, said, “What time has come in this New India that even dead bodies floating in rivers are not visible to the government. Shame.”

In the past one week, nearly 2,000 dead bodies were found in the Ganga. The data was confirmed by the Union Health Ministry.
