K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of TelanganaTelangana, tested negative for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. On the 28th of April, took the Novel Coronavirus tests at his farm house and was reported negative.  

The team of doctors led by the Telangana Chief Minister’s personal doctor M.V. Rao examined KCR, conducted the rapid Coronavirus test and said he was fit. After 10 days of treatment and home isolation Mr. Chandrashekar Rao tested negative for the virus. Besides a rapid test, the doctor’s team conducted a COVID-19 RT PCR test. The result of the RT PCR (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction test) is likely to come on the 29th of April. If KCR tests negative in RT PCR test also, he would be completely out of the virus, but in case the result shows COVID-19 positive, KCR would need to undergo treatment and self isolation.

These days second tests for COVID-19 have become mandatory because of the faulty rapid kit tests.

However, KCR is doing fine and is currently stable. On the other hand, his son and the Working President of the TRS K.T. Rama Rao is still COVID-19 positive and is under home isolation.

Mr. KTR tested positive for the virus, three days after KCR reported COVID-19 positive. On the 23rd of April, KTR confirmed being COVID-19 positive.
