On the 21st of February, Monday, India reported 16,051 new cases of the Wuhan virus (COVID-19) cases. Besides new cases, the Union Health Ministry also confirmed 206 fatalities and 37,901 recovered/discharged cases in the past 24 hours.

According to sources, with new cases, India has 4,28,38,524 positive cases of the Wuhan virus, of which 2,02,131 positive cases, 4,21,24,284 recovered/discharged cases and 5,12,109 deceased cases of the Wuhan virus. The new figures were confirmed after conducting 8,31,087 sample tests for Wuhan virus in the past 24 hours, confirmed the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR.)

The aforementioned new figure of the Wuhan virus cases are available on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)

In addition, India’s active cases account for 0.47% of the total cases, 98.33% recovery rate and below 1.30% fatality rate.

Meanwhile, the Indian Wuhan virus vaccination drive is concerned, the ministry informed that over 175.46 crore vaccine doses have been administered to the eligible people.

The Union Ministry said, “ith the administration of more than 7 lakh Doses (7,00,706) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 175.46 crores (1,75,46,25,710) as per provisional reports till 7:00 A.M., today.”

After the third wave of the Wuhan virus pandemic in January, the cases from over 2 lakh are now declining to below 20,000.

Amid the improved situation of the Wuhan virus, many Indian states and union territories relaxed imposed curfews and COVID-19 restrictions.
