On the 7th of February, Monday, India reported 83,876 new cases of the Wuhan virus (COVID-19.)

The cases are declining every passing day, and have been reduced to 11,08,938 active cases till date. Besides new Wuhan virus cases, India registered 1,99,054 recoveries and 895 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The Union Health Ministry confirmed then updated the figure on the morning of the 7th of February. Moreover, the updated data is available on the official website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)

With this, India currently has 4,22,72,014 positive cases, of which 11,08,938 are active cases, 5,02,874 deceased cases and 4,06,60,202 recovered/discharged cases. The cases and new figures of the Wuhan virus were confirmed after conducting 11,56,363 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, reported by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR.)

According to sources, the cases were 22% lower than the 6th of February, which is 1,16,073 cases.

In addition, the current recovery rate in the country stands at 96.19% and the fatality rate is below 2%.

However, states like Maharashtra (9,666) Kerala (26,729) and Karnataka (8,425) registered the maximum number of Wuhan virus cases, contributing 40% of the total active cases in the past 24 hours.

Moreover, as of now, India has administered 169.63 crore (1,69,63,80,755) vaccine doses, including 14,70,053 doses in the past 24 hours.
