On the 8th of February, Tuesday, India continued to report a decline in the Wuhan virus, also known as COVID-19 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health Of India, India reported, below 1 lakh that is 67,597 new Wuhan virus cases in the past 24 hours. Besides new cases, the nation registered 1,80,456 recoveries and 1,188 fatalities. The new Wuhan virus cases were confirmed after conducting 13,46,534 tests for the virus, taking the total to 74.29 crores to date, said the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR.)

With this, the tally of the Wuhan virus figure is at 9,94,891 active cases, 5,02,874 deceased cases, and 4,08,40,658 recovered/discharged cases. Although active cases declined to 9,94,891, there has been a surge in the death cases reported.

Moreover, the recovery rate from the Wuhan virus has improved by 96.46% to date.

The aforementioned figure of COVID-19 was confirmed by the Union Health Ministry on the morning of the 8th of February. The updated data is available on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)

Furthermore, India administered over 170.21 crore Wuhan virus vaccine doses to people, till date.
