After reporting below 3,000 single day cases of the Wuhan virus, India, on the 6th of June, registered more than 4,500 cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus.

On Monday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed that India reported 4,518 new cases and 9 fatalities, in the past 24 hours.  With this, India currently has  4,31,81,335 positive cases, of which  4,31,81,335, recovered/discharged cases and 5,24,701 fatalities till date.  Furthermore, the active cases in India stood at  25,782.  Compared to the 3rd of June, the active cases increased by 1,730 cases. 

Notably, the active cases comprise of 0.06%, the national Wuhan virus recovery rate is 98.73% and the fatality rate is at 1.22%, till date.

Meanwhile, the cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive have been over 194.14 crores.
