On the 27th of January, Thursday, India reported a decline in the cases of Wuhan virus, also known as COVID-19.

On Thursday morning, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) reported 2,86,384 fresh cases. In addition to fresh cases, the nation reported 573 fatalities and 3,06,357 recoveries/discharged cases in the past 24 hours.

With this, the Union Health Ministry confirmed 22,02,472 active cases, 4,91,700 deaths and 3,76,77,328 recoveries due to the Wuhan virus. Moreover, India has 19.59% daily positivity rate and 1.22% fatality rate and over 93% recovery rate from the infection.

The new updated figures of the Wuhan virus were confirmed after conducting 14,62,261 tests, in 24 hours, taking the tally to 72,21,66,248. The test data was confirmed by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR.)

Meanwhile, till date, the Union Health Ministry confirmed to administer over 163.84 crore (1,63,84,39,207) vaccine doses under the nationwide vaccination drive.
