On the 27th of May, India’s Wuhan virus cases surged 2.73 crores with 2,11,298 new cases.

In the past 24 hours, the country reported 2,11,298 new Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, 2,847 fatalities and 2,82,924 recoveries from the Novel Coronavirus. The new figures of COVID-19 infection was confirmed by the Union Health Ministry on the morning of the 27th of May.

With this, India has 27,369,093 positive cases, of which 24,19,907 are active cases, 3,15,235 are deceased cases and 24,633,951 are recovered/discharged cases. The updated figure is available on the official website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.) Besides, cases of COVID-19, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) also confirmed 21,57,857 tests being conducted for the Wuhan virus, taking cumulative total to 33,69,69,353 samples tested till date.

With the slight decline in the Wuhan virus cases, India is now at a recovery rate of 90.01 % with 8.84 % active caseload and 1.15 % fatality rate.

In addition, Tamil Nadu is leading with the highest number of new single day cases of Wuhan virus (33,764,) followed by Kerala with 28,798 new infections, Karnataka with 26,811 cases and Maharashtra with 24,752 cases.

States with below 20,000 single day Wuhan virus cases are Andhra Pradesh with 18,285 cases and West Bengal with 16,225 cases.

In terms of most affected worts COVID-19 hit states, Maharashtra top the list with most (5,650,957,) followed by Karnataka (2,472,973,) Kerala (2,395,590,) Tamil Nadu (1,911,496,) Uttar Pradesh (1,677,508) and Andhra Pradesh (1,609,105.)

World Novel Coronavirus update:

Globally, there are 1,69,057,711 total cases, of which 1,50,807,409 have recovered, 3,511,555 have died so far and the remaining are active cases. The United States of America (U.S.A.,) remains the worst hit country with 33,969,295 cases, followed by India 27,369,093 cases and Brazil with 16,275,440.
