The Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases are showing continuous downfall in India from the past few weeks. 

In the past 24 hours, the Nation recorded only 27,071 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The new cases were confirmed by the Union Health Ministry on the morning of the 14th of December.

With the new cases, the total number of active cases of COVID-19 infection stand at 3,52,586.

Besides new positive cases, India reported 336 deceased cases and 30,695 discharged/recovered cases.

The updated figure of COVID-19 cases could be seen on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)

According to the MoHFW, India has 9,884,100 positive cases, of which 3,52,586 are active cases, 93,88,159 recovered/discharged cases and 1,43,355 deceased.

With the less number of new cases (27,071) and more recovered cases (30,695,) India’s recovery rate stood at 94.93 % and active caseload rate fell to 3.62 %.

The fatality rate for COVID-19 infection in India is below 1.47 %.

In addition, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on the 14th of December, confirmed to have conducted 8, 55,157 sample tests for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

With this, the cumulative total of tests done for COVID-19 in India so far, stand at 15,45,66,990.
