Mr. Sourav Ganguly, the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI,) tested positive for the Wuhan virus.

On the night of the 27th of December, Monday, Mr. Sourav Ganguly, tested positive for COVID-19.  He was immediately rushed to Woodland Hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal.  Although he was having mild symptoms, doctors did not want to take any chances and suggested that he be admitted to the hospital.  A BCCI official, who wished to be anonymous said, “He was taken to Woodlands Nursing Home last night.  He has been given medication and is currently stable.”

Mr. Sourav Ganguly is currently at the hospital in Kolkata and given proper medication under the supervision of doctors.  Notably, he is double vaccinated against the Novel Coronavirus infection, still caught the virus. 

In addition, this is the third time Ganguly has been hospitalized in 2021.   Previously he has been admitted due to chest pain and a heart attack.
