Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is all set to lay the foundation of three reservoirs in Anantapur district.

The foundation of three reservoirs in Anantapur was one of the promises made by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, during the Assembly elections in 2019.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would

attend the event virtually from the YSRCP camp office, Tadepalli.

According to sources, three reservoirs named Muttala, Topudurthi and Devarakonda would be constructed in Raptadu constituency, Amaravati.

The YSRCP Government is also planning to divert water from Handrineeva to Peruru Dam.

With the construction of three reservoirs, nearly one lakh acres of land would be irrigated in Raptadu constituency.

The project would benefit 35 villages in seven mandals.

For the project, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh Government released Rs. 800 crores.

The Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Raptadu constituency Topudurthi Prakash Reddy would be present at the foundation ceremony along with YSRCP ministers.

Mr. Prakash Reddy said the Anantapur district administration has made all the arrangements for the bhumi puja of three reservoirs at Venkatampalli village in Chinakotha palle mandal.

The arrangements were made under the supervision of Collector Gandham Chandrudu, Joint Collector Nishanth Kumar and Revenue Department Officer (RDO) of constituency Mr. Madhusudan.
