Dharmana Krishna Das, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rhythu Congress (YSRCP) party, on the 25th of July took charge as one of the Deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. 

Andhra Pradesh is the only Indian state with 5 Deputy chief ministers.

Mr. Das would be the Deputy Chief Minister and would also take responsibility as the Revenue, stamps and registration Minister of the State.

Speaking on the occasion, Dharmana said, “CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy kept a huge responsibility on me. I will keep my complete efforts in doing my job.” He further added, “Some changes will be done in the present system in portfolios which are allotted to me. In future days, there will be no land registration disputes in the state.”

Krishna Das was given the post of Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister after Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, who held the position earlier resigned.

Mr. Bose resigned after he was elected to Rajya Sabha. Earlier Krishna Das served as the Roads and Buildings Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
