Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, a Member of the Legislative Assent (MLA) of Tirupati and a member of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus.

Mr. Reddy was tested positive for the deadly infection two months back in August and was fully recovered.

However, he tested positive again and is being treated at a medical facility in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

The senior YSRCP leader recently complained of fever and cough and got tested for COVID-19 infection.

The results of his COVID-19 test came positive on the night of the 7th of October.

With this, till date nearly 5 YSRCP MLAs tested positive for COVID-19 and recovered from the disease.

With this, Andhra Pradesh also reported its first reinfection case of the COVID-19 virus.

Andhra Pradesh has a total of 7,34,427 positive cases of COVID-19, of the total 49,513 are active cases, 6,78,828 recovered/discharged cases and 6,096 are decreased cases.
