Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana, the Municipal and Urban Development Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 16th of December, responded to the meeting of the Amaravati farmers.

It is to be noted, the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Amaravati is going to hold a public meeting in Tirupati. The meeting, scheduled on the 17th of December, is against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government for proposing the three capitals of Andhra Pradesh, instead of only Amaravati. Although the YSRCP Government withdrew the proposed bill, the protest is still continuing, as the Government is still planning to have three State capitals.

In regard to this, the Andhra Pradesh High Court (HC) also gave permission to the JAC for the meeting.

Reacting to the same, the YSRCP Minister Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana said that the development of the three regions was the government policy and they were committed to it. He also said, the meeting to be held in Tirupati is political and alleged that 29 villages in Amaravati and their community are the only priority for the TDP. He also claimed that all the participants in the farmers’ padayatra are TDP workers.

Criticising the TDP for creating tension in Amaravati and Tirupati, the State Minister said the TDP’s agenda is to amass the money through real estate. He recalled that Chandrababu Naidu had said that Amaravati was an ATM card.

The fight between the YSRCP Government and the Amaravati farmers over the three capitals is still continuing.
