The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government in Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) approved Rs. 1,650 crores for drinking water purposes for the State.

On the 17th of March, Thursday, the Andhra Pradesh State Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy addressed the Budget Session Assembly and answered several questions during question hour.  He highlighted that the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Government is providing all kinds of services for the people.  Giving examples, Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said the Government launched the Jagananna Thodu scheme, the YSR Bhima Scheme, disbursing Rs. 129.90 crores.   He also said the YSRCP Government created approximately 4 lakh jobs including 1.35 lakh secretaries, 2.65 lakh volunteers since 2019.

Speaking about the drinking water project, the Andhra Pradesh Minister said that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is all set to supply drinking water and approved an amount of Rs. 1,650 crores.  Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said, “The project is expected to be completed by 2024.”   Approximately  29,23,000 people in 32 mandals would get fresh water and drinking water.

Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Budget Session 2022-2023 started from the 7th of March and would continue till the 25th of March.
