The campaign for the Badvel Assembly constituency by election started in Andhra Pradesh.

On the 14th of October, Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Minister, took a dig at the opposition parties.

Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have done nothing for the people of Badvel and Andhra Pradesh. These national and State parties have betrayed the people of A.P.

Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy along with the YSRCP Member of Parliament (MP) Mr. Avinash Reddy and Ms. Dasari Sudha, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) candidate of the YSRCP started the campaign in the constituency.

During the road show and campaign, Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said, “Practices followed by Congress have made them disappear not only in the State but also in the country.” He further said, “We have brought governance closer to the people through the secretariat system and the volunteer system was undertaken by the Government.”

Criticising the TDP, the previous Government of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said, the programs carried out for cultivation and drinking water in the Badvel constituency have not been done by the previous governments. He further said, “We provide welfare benefits to people from all walks of life just by seeing that they are eligible.”

Adding to Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy remarks, Mr. Avinash Reddy also appreciated the YSRCP Government and said that the welfare and development undertaken by the Government would be extended to every household.

They concluded today’s meeting urging people to vote for the YSRCP in the upcoming Badvel by election for the MLA seat.

The Badvel Assembly constituency MLA seat fell vacant after the demise of Dr. Venkata Subbaiah, the former MLA of the constituency. Besides the BJP and the YSRCP, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is also eying to win the Badvel MLA seat.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the Badvel Assembly constituency by election to be held on the 30th of October. The counting of the votes would be held on the 2nd of November, following which results would be announced.
