Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 2nd of September, unveiled the statue of late Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy, the former CM of AP.

On the occasion of the 10th death anniversary of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, his son Jagan Mohan Reddy unveiled the statue of Rajasekhara Reddy near the Police Control Room in Vijayawada.

In 2016, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) got his statue removed from the Police Control Room area due to traffic issues.  However, after the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) came to power, the statue was reinstalled in the area.

M.V.V. Satyanarayana, the Member of Parliament of Visakhapatnam, AP Police officials, YSRCP members and others attended the event.

After unveiling the statue, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed a public meeting.
