Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) is scheduled to visit the Kuppam district on the 22nd of September.

According to sources, the visit is in view of the upcoming 2024 Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. It is to be noted, Kuppam is the Assembly constituency of Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)  In 2019, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu led TDP lost against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) but won from the Kuppam Assembly constituency, as it is the stronghold of Mr. Chandrababu Naidu.

The visit is said to be the political strategy of the YSRCP, to establish themselves in Kuppam, eyeing the Assembly constituency and win the 2024 elections.  Meanwhile, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu is also making efforts to come to power this time anyway and defeat the YSRCP. 

Furthermore, during the visit to Kuppam, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would also lay the foundation stone for the development programs to be undertaken worth Rs.66 crores in Kuppam Municipality.

The Zilla Parishad Chairman Mr. Srinivasulu and Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Mr. Bharat are making arrangements regarding the visit of the Chief Minister Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.  They also inspected the helipad region and reviewed the security arrangements and police security deployed in the State.
