Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, launched funds for the Jagananna Chedodu Scheme.

On the 8th of February, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) President released an amount of Rs. 285.35 crores, benefiting 2.85 lakh beneficiaries. The amount was released during an event, held at the YSRCP Camp Office in Tadepalli, today afternoon.

Under the Jagananna Chedodu Scheme, welfare financial assistance would be given to Rajaka, Nai Brahmins and tailors in the State.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “We are preparing for another good program and helping 2.85 lakh people under Jagananna Chedodu by disbursing Rs. 10,000 each.” He further said, the scheme was being implemented transparently without resorting to bribery.

Highlighting the split of the released amount, Rs. 146.10 crore would be disbursed to 1,46,103 tailors with shops followed by Rs. 98.44 crore to 98,439 shopkeepers and 40.81 crore to 40,808 Nai Brahmins.

This is the second year of the Jagananna Chedodu Scheme, since its launch in 2020. Under the scheme, the Andhra Pradesh Government so far released an amount of Rs. 583.78 crores.

In addition, beneficiaries were selected from the list of eligible persons, below 60 years old, in the village and ward secretariats. The funds provided by the government can be utilised for purchasing tools, equipment and other essentials to enhance their source of income and fulfill their investment needs.
