Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, met with Mr. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, in Delhi.

Notably, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Chief Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is in Delhi to meet Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India and the Union minister.

During the meeting with Mr. Amit Shah, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy discussed several issues of the Telugu State, including the demand of releasing pending funds.  In the 50 minutes meeting, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy requested Mr. Amit Shah to release the pending Central funds for various welfare schemes and projects in Andhra Pradesh. He highlighted that the Polavaram Project funds based on revised estimates are also pending with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government.  

Getting into facts and figures, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy informed that the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh would get Rs. 32,000 crore from the Centre after 2015 including revenue deficit. 

Notably, till now, the Central Government released only Rs. 4,117 crore.

Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy left for Delhi on the 2nd of June and met with several union leaders, discussing his recent World Economic Forum (WEF) 2022 Davos trip and pending issues of Andhra Pradesh.
