Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 27th of January, Thursday, launched AP Seva Portal 2.0.

The new portal is an improved version of the existing AP Seva Portal, providing better services to people of the Telugu State. During the launch event, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, all the officials right from village/ward secretariats to higher authorities will be using AP Seva Portal. The digital application has been launched to provide government services in a transparent manner to the Andhra Pradesh citizens.

According to sources, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) President Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the improved app would take the governance much closer to the people, especially those in remote villages. With the new service, members of the public can track the status of their application by themselves without any hassles.

In addition, the new service would also provide features like SMS alerts. People could track their application status online which would be approved and function online with transparency.

Later, officials can also provide certificates and documents online with digital signatures.

The chief minister stated that the new updated portal has over 30 services of Revenue and Land Administration, 25 services of Municipal Administration, 6 services of Civil Supplies, 3 services of Rural Development and over 53 services of Energy departments. Village wards and Secretariats are going to be in service of people for any official work.

Notably, since the 6th of January, 2020 (after the launch) as many as 3.46 crore government services have been provided to the public through village/ward secretariats.

Ministers like Mr. Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana, the State Chief Secretary Dr. Sameer Sharma and other senior officials were present during the launch event.

The State CM Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the portal virtually, from YSRCP Camp Office in Tadepalli.
