Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 28th of March, attended the mourning ceremony of late A.P., Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy.   During the ceremony, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) President assured that he would fulfill dreams of late Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy, who planned to develop the backward region of Udayagiri.

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy on a visit to Nellore and participated in the condolence meeting held at VPR Convention Hall at Kanuparthipadu.  He offered floral tributes to the departed minister and said they are converting phase-2 works of Veligonda Project to Phase-1 for fast completion.  He further added, respecting the request of former Member of Parliament (MP) and YSRCP Leader Mekapati Goutham Reddy’s father, the YSRCP assured to establish a college at Udayagiri as Agriculture/Hortica Reddy’s memorial ceremony tribute.  He also assured to complete works of Sangam barrage by the 15th of May, and he would again come for inauguration.

Remembering his relation with late Mr. Mekapati Goutham Reddy, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister said that Mr. Mekapati was his backbone, supporter, and a strong pillar of the YSRCP Government. He said Goutham encouraged him to debut into politics and play an active role. 

Besides Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Minister for Water Resources Dr. P. Anil Kumar Yadav, Mr. Rajamohan Reddy, the father of Goutham, and other leaders like Mr. Adala Prabhakar Reddy, the Rajya Sabha (RS)  Member Mr. V. Prabhakar Reddy and other leaders attended the event.

Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to return to Tadepalli later today, the 28th of March, Monday.
