Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy released the funds for the Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme on Thursday, the 27th of July.

Launched in 2023, the Jagananna Videshi Deevena scheme is one of its kind schemes, to support the education of eligible poor students, belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC,) the Scheduled Tribe (ST) and other backward class people.  The selection process for the Jagananna Videshi Deevena scheme was done in a transparent manner, based on the admissions of the students in the top 200 students, on their merit skills, overseas.

The scheme aims to support economically disadvantaged students in pursuing higher education at top global universities. CM Jagan, emphasizing the significance of this transformational step in the education system, stated that his government stands firmly with students, transcending politics.

The scheme provides financial assistance to deserving students without any biases or corruption. Under the Jagananna Foreign Education Scholarship, selected students from marginalized backgrounds are eligible for up to Rs. 1.25 crores to pursue studies abroad, making world-class education accessible to all.
