Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 21st of October, Thursday, held a video conference with district collectors and government officials.

Major highlights of the video conference meeting:

  • During the meeting, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy discussed various issues and welfare schemes in Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)  The topics included Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) works, digital libraries, E-cropping, Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana scheme and Jagananna Sampoorna Gruha Hakku scheme. 
  • Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to focus on usage of material components under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) in Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Anantapur districts.
  • The CM asked the concerned officials to take measures to complete the construction of the village secretariats in Krishna, East Godavari and Kurnool districts.
  • He also directed the district collectors of Krishna, Kurnool and East Godavari districts to focus on completing the Rythu Bharosa Kendra (RBKs) buildings and to pay attention to the YSR Health Clinics.
  • Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy also directed to form 4,314 digital libraries in the first phase and instructed the officials to take all the necessary steps to build these libraries.
  • Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy told the district collectors of Anantapur, Chittoor, East Godavari, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam to pay special attention in this regard.
  • The State CM also focused on whether e cropping is required for crop purchase and it is the basic function to do e cropping and directed the district collectors and joint collectors to focus on the same. 
  • He said district collectors should focus on Continuous Monitoring of Agriculture Prices and Procurement (CMAPP) and ensure remunerative prices to farmers.
  • He also emphasized on the implementation of crop insurance, zero interest loans, input subsidy and crop procurement.
  • The Chief Minister also directed to conduct a Citizen Outreach program on the 29th and 30th of October.  During the program, the staff members can meet every family in the jurisdiction to know their problems related to the schemes and welfare programme. 

Mr. Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas (Nani,) the State Deputy Chief Minister (medical and health,) Mr. Botcha Satyanarayana, the Municipal and Urban Development Minister,  Dr. Sameer Sharma, the Chief Secretary to Health Department, Mr. Neerab Kumar Prasad, the Administration Chief Commissioner, Ms. Poonam Malakondaiaha, the Agriculture Special Chief Secretary, Mr. Ajay Jain, the Housing Special Chief Secretary, Mr. G.K. Dwivedi, the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Principal Secretary and other officials attended the meeting.
