The Andhra Pradesh Government and officials welcomed the Vice President (VP) of India M. Venkaiah Naidu.   

Mr. Vennaiah Naidu is on a visit to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He reached the Visakhapatnam Airport at 11:45 A.M., on the 26th of June, Saturday.

According to sources, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Muthamsetti Srinivasa Rao, the Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of Visakhapatnam, the Eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral A.B. Singh and the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Mayor G. Hair Venkata Kumari welcomed the Vice President (VP) of India. In addition, the Chairman of the Visakhapatnam Port Trust K. Rama Mohan Rao, the District Collector V. Vinay Chand and the Commissioner of Police of Visakhapatnam Manish Kumar Sinha, were also present at the airport to welcome the VP.

The VP of India reached Visakhapatnam through a special flight from Delhi. He visited the City on a three day tour, specially to inaugurate the sixth anniversary event of the Rashtretara Telugu Samakhya (RTS) virtually. The RTS association was formed in 2015, to build cultural unity amongst Telugus in India. Since the formation, every year on the 27th and 28th of June, the RTS celebrates an annual event, which also marks the anniversary of the organisation.

During the visit, the Vice President of India would be staying at the Visakhapatnam Port guest house. The district collectors and the concerned officials were asked to make necessary arrangements for his three day visit.

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu is likely to fly back to Delhi on the 29th of June.
