According to sources, an unidentified woman kidnapped a 3-year-old girl from the Vijayawada Railway Station, on the 9th of June, Thursday.  The Railway Police officials registered a case and formed five special teams to trace the kid.  The victim was identified as Shaik Shafeeda and her parents are ragpickers. 

As of now, the Vijayawada Police are examining the CCTV footage at Vijayawada Command Control Room and found the baby’s location to be near the Nehru Bomma Centre area.  Police also inspected areas like Chittinagar, Panja Centre, Vagu Centre, and Dairy Factory Sithara Centre.  Furthermore, the CCTV footage, which is the only evidence and clue for the investigation was sent to various police stations in Vijayawada.  

According to the police, an unidentified woman approached the child who was playing on platform number 10 of the Vijayawada railway station.  She was seen luring the kid with chocolates and abducting the girl. 

The case is under investigation.
