The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD,) on the 8th of December, announced to be ready to allot its Srinivasam and Madhavam Rest Houses in Tirupati city.

After 8 months of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak,  the Chittoor District officials recently handed over the two complexes to the TTD.

Due to the COVID-19 infection, the TTD had stopped rooms allotment from the March 1st following the COVID-19 guidelines which were issued by the Government of India.

Later the TTD handed over these two rest houses to Chittoor District Collector for running covid-19 care centres. Since April ending Chittoor District officials maintained covid-19 care centres and gave admissions to covid-19 patients for treatment.

Around 400 rooms and common rest halls were in Srinivasam as well as 250 deluxe rooms were in Madhavam rest house.

After the drastic downfall of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases in the District, both rest houses were handed over to the TTD officials by Chittoor District revenue department.

More than one month the TTD took up rooms sanitisation activity in those rest houses and that the procedure was completed just one week ago.

After a detailed discussion with officials concerned, the TTD Executive Officer K.S. Jawahar Reddy took a decision to resume the rooms allotment again in Srinivasam and Madhavam.

On the instructions of the TTD EO, the TTD reception department officials made all the arrangements for rooms allotment online from the 15th of December.

Previously the TTD had allotted the rooms offline.

Now devotees from around the world could book rooms at Srinivasam and Madhavam rest houses online.

In view of Post COVID-19 guidelines, the TTD took this decision to alot all the rooms online in  future also.

Stay tuned for further updates.
