Mr. Y.V. Subba Reddy, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman invited Mr. Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Deputy CM Mr. Devendra Fadnavis for the Bhoomi Pujan of Swamy Temple.

Notably, the TTD would do a Bhoomi Pujan for a Swamy Temple in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra on the 21st of August.

According to sources, Mr. Y.V. Subba Reddy along with Executive Officer Mr. A.V. Dharma Reddy visited Mumbai for the purpose.  Later the Vedic pandits rendered Vedaseervachanam to Shinde and Fadnavis after which the Chairman and EO presented Lord’s Theertha Prasadams.  It is to be noted, the Uddhav Thackeray led Shiv Sena Government had earlier allocated 10 acres of land in Ulve near Navi Mumbai, on behalf of the State Government.  The land was allocated to the TTD for the construction of a Lord Swamy Venkateswara temple in Maharashtra.  However, after the recent change in power, the TTD Chairman Mr. Y.V. Subba Reddy and Mr. A.V. Dharma Reddy, the TTD EO extended an invitation to the current Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Eknath Shinde, along with the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis.

On receiving the invitation, both Mr. Eknath Shinde and Mr. Devendra Fadnavis expressed gratitude and assured to attend the Bhoomi Pujan, scheduled on the 21st of August, at Navi Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Raymond Group Managing Director Mr. Gowtham Singhania had come forward to bear the entire cost of the construction of the temple, estimated to be Rs. 60-70 crores.
