Tragic Incident in Vijayawada: Five Family Members Found Dead in Patamata Area

Patamata: A devastating event shook Vijayawada as five members of a local family were discovered dead in the Patamata area. Dr. D. Srinivas (40), a well-known orthopedic doctor, his wife Usha (38), their children Shailaja (9) and Srihan (8), along with Srinivas’ mother Ramanamma (65), were among the deceased.

The grim discovery occurred when the maid, arriving at the residence on Tuesday morning, spotted Srinivas in a distressed state on the balcony. Promptly alerting neighbors and authorities, the police were called to investigate. Tragically, the bodies of Srinivas’ wife, children, and mother were found inside the house, their throats slit.

Srinivas, who had recently faced financial hardships after a failed business venture and subsequent hospitalization, is suspected by the police of perpetrating the gruesome act before taking his own life.
