In a tragic incident, a constable died after misfiring a gun.  The deceased was identified as Ramaiah, a head constable of the Telangana Police.  He was posted as the security guard at the government printing building at the Mint Compound, Hyderabad.

The incident took place at the Mint compound next to the State Secretariat building, on the 29th of June, Thursday.

The head constable’s gun misfired while he was on duty, resulting in serious bullet injuries.  He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Nampally but he died on the way. 

The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
