Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the new block at Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) block.

Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao would lay the foundation stone of the new block on the 14th of June, Wednesday.  Prior to the foundation stone ceremony, Mr. T. Harish Rao, the Health Minister of Telangana,  visited NIMS to oversee the arrangements for the Bhumi Puja.

During the review meeting, Mr. T. Harish Rao has instructed senior health officials to ensure the entire foundation stone laying function at NIMS goes smoothly.  

Meanwhile, speaking of the new block of NIMS, it would be having modern facilities, enhanced health equipment, accommodating  2,000 beds for patients along with additional doctors and staff.   To construct the new NIMS block, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government released an amount of Rs. 1,571 crores. 

The decision to lay the foundation stone on the 14th of June was taken under the decennial celebrations of the State’s Formation Day.
