The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President of Andhra Pradesh, commented on the recent Crime Investigation Department (CID) notice issued to Chandrababu Naidu.
Mr. Atchennaidu, the TDP President of A.P., said the CID notice over the Amaravati land scam to be a political move by the opposition ruling party. He said, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government is planning such things to defame Chandrababu Naidu, the National TDP President.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Atchennaidu said, the assigned lands were taken with the approval of the farmers for the capital and clarified the allegations to be baseless. He also questioned whether Alla Ramakrishna Reddy belongs to the Scheduled Caste (SC,) the Scheduled Tribe (ST) to file a SC/ST atrocity case. The dig on Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, a YSRCP Member of the Legislative Assembly,was taken as he was the one to file a case against Chandrababu Naidu.
Mr. Atchennaidu said the Atrocities Act is being misused by the opposition YSRCP leaders. He said the YSRCP leaders are making false allegations on Chandrababu Naidu to maligh his image in public.
Justifying his point, the TDP President of A.P., said, the late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, the former Chief Minister of A.P., also surrendered the 610 acres of assigned land out of 700 acres in Idupulapaya after using them for 30 years.
Mr. Atchennaidu said, “Was it not Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s father Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy who amended the Assigned Land Transfer Prohibition Act in 2007 and enacted it through an ordinance?”
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu is yet to respond to the issued CID letter. As per the issued letter, Mr. Naidu was asked to appear before the CID officials on the 23rd of March.
