The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) staged a protest against the hike in fuel prices (petrol and diesel) in Andhra Pradesh. The protest across the petrol bunks started at 12 noon and is scheduled to continue till 1:00 P.M., across the State.

Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the TDP called for the protest, demanding a reduction in prices. The TDP leaders asked the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government to reduce the VAT on fuel prices for the citizens of Andhra Pradesh.

In addition, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu reminded Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to completely abolish VAT on petrol and diesel in the State. It is to be noted, the YSRCP Government promised to abolish VAT on fuel prices if they came into power. He said, the fuel prices are rising due to the corruption, extravagance and incompetent administration of the ruling A.P., Government.

Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu said the YSRCP Government ignored their promise, due to which the people of Andhra Pradesh are suffering with high fuel prices.

Meanwhile, all the TDP leaders and cadres are set to stage a protest against the fuel prices on all the petrol bunks across the State.
