The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders continued their criticism against the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government.

In the recent criticism, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the TDP blamed the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Government behind farmers’ suicide in the State.   In a media briefing, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said that over 3,000 farmers committed suicide in the state after Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed office as the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister.

The statements came during Mr. Chandrababu Naidu’s agricultural fields visit, where a large scale crop was damaged due to heavy rains in Palnadu district, especially cotton and chillies.  Considering the crop damage due to the rain, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu demanded that Rs. 30,000 per acre be paid as compensation for the chilli farmers and Rs. 50,000 per acre for cotton farmers.  He said that there has been no employment creation in the State in the past 3.5 years and promised to take Andhra Pradesh to the number one position in the country in development.

Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, “Each farmer has already spent Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh per acre and the Chief Minister, who is sitting in the Tadepalle palace is least bothered about them as he has no plans to come to the rescue of the affected farmers.”

Taking a dig at the State Chief Minister, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, “Can Jagan give the details on how much relief he has paid to the farmers in each village, Chandrababu asked and said that the state government has not paid even the crop insurance premium.  Except filing false cases against the TDP leaders, the state government is not coming to the rescue of the farmers who suffered huge crop losses due to the rains.”

Highlighting that, over 3,000 farmers in the State of Andhra Pradesh suffered due to the ruling government (YSRCP) and committed suicide, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, Andhra Pradesh stood in the third position in the farmers’ suicides rate in India.  In addition, the YSRCP Government is using people for votes, but failing to provide them the necessary services and benefiting them from various schemes.

Confident that the YSRCP Would lose the elections of 2024, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, “The people will bury YSRCP in the 2024 Assembly elections and if the Chief Minister goes for early polls, the situation will be worse.”

The YSRCP leaders are yet to respond to the criticism of the TDP President Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
