Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President wrote to Biswabhusan Harichandan, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) The letter written on the 8th of June, highlighted the policing during the imposed curfew.

In the letter, Chandrababu Naidu requested the Governor of Andhra Pradesh to implement people friendly policing. The letter was written after several incidents of police harassing the common public were reported. In addition, several frontline workers including doctors, sanitation workers alleged police of mishandling people on roads.

A similar incident happened with a medical worker of Apollo Hospital, Aparna. She alleged some police officers stopped her while she was returning from her duty and manhandled her. The TDP National President Chandrababu Naidu asked the State Governor to take the necessary action against those police involved in the incident.

The Leader of the Opposition criticised the actions of police over people and asked to stop it.
