K.E. Prabhakar, a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) on the 13th of March, submitted his resignation.

One by one resignations from TDP leaders could be explained as a major drawback for the Party in upcoming local bodies elections.

Mr. Prabhakar sent his resignation letter to the TDP office at Guntur, A.P.

Speaking about the reason behind Mr. Prabhakar’s decision, the sources suggest allocation of TDP tickets for the local body elections and internal disputes .

On the 13th of March, before submitting his resignation, K.E. Prabhakar, met with his followers and a few activists and discussed his decision.

When asked about his future plans, K.E. Prabhakar said as of now, he has no plans of joining any other Party.  However, if he gets an offer from the opposition, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) he may think about it and join the Party.

The  TDP leaders quitting their party  could affect the TDP in the Rajya Sabha elections, Municipal elections, Gram Panchayat and other local bodies elections scheduled at the end of the Month.
