The incident took place at a vacant plot near Somulavaripalle. Subbaiah was brutally murdered on the spot where the house site were given to the poor.
According to sources, there are rumours, the TDP leader was brutally murdered for posting anti-Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) posts on social media for some time.
Locals who noticed the body immediately informed the Kadapa police station.
Police reached the spot, examined the body and shifted it to a government hospital for postmortem.
The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
