Mr. Nara Lokesh, the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) wrote to Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)

In the letter, written on the 16th of March, Mr. Nara Lokesh asked the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) President Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to take steps to provide alternatives to the students who returned home from Ukraine.  In view of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, many Indian students were airlifted amid their security.  While some of them were in the final year of their educational courses, many were freshers.  Mr.  Lokesh said that students studying in Ukraine have reached Telugu states due to the war environment and opined that some of the students who came have already started online classes. 

The TDP General Secretary asked the State Government to take a policy decision and the necessary steps to help the students so that they could complete their courses, without any gap or loss of education.  Citing the Government of Tamil Nadu and Telangana, which launched policies and steps to help the Ukraine returnee students, and announced to bear financial expenses of these students to complete their studies.

Meanwhile, the YSRCP Government ensured to provide all the necessary help to students, who returned from Ukraine.  Furthermore, so far 918 students have returned from Ukraine.
