Nara Lokesh, the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) once again, raised the issue of conducting the 10th and the 12 examinations in 2021.

The TDP leader criticised Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government for playing with the lives of lakhs of students.  The criticism was on the decision of the YSRCP Government for conducting the Secondary School Certifcate (SSC) exams and the intermediate exams in July.  The State Government’s decision was amid the second wave and the rising number of the Wuhan virus cases, also known as the Novel Coronavirus.  After several meetings, discussions and opposition from the TDP and the JanaSena Party, the YSRCP Government is stubborn to conduct the exams.

Reacting to the same, the TDP leader conducted a virtual interview program with several students and parents demanding the cancellation of Tenth and Inter examinations in the State in view of the Wuhan virus conditions.  He said it was wrong to postpone the Tenth and Intermediate examinations without cancelling them.

Nara Lokesh reminded that the threat of the Novel Coronavirus third wave, predicted in August and September.  He said as per medical experts, the thrid wave of the Wuhan virus would have a greater impact on children.

He concluded the meeting urging the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister not to create hurdles to the students and finally cancel the exams.  The request of the TDP leader came a day after the Central Government announced to cancel the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 12th examination in the view of the current situation of the Wuhan virus.

The YSRCP Government is yet to respond to the request and criticism of Nara Lokesh.

Stay tuned for further updates.
