On the 3rd of May, a prominent political leader Sabbam Hari passed away due to the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection.

The former Member of Parliament (MP) Sabbam Hari was a leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh. He was admitted to a hospital in Visakhapatnam, A.P. However, due to some health complications he passed away while on the COVID-19 treatment.

According to sources, Sabbam Hari tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus on the 15th of April. He was shifted to a private hospital due to his health condition on the 24th of April.

According to doctors, Sabbam Hari caught other infections too besides the Novel Coronavirus. The condition was said to be critical in the morning and later in the afternoon he passed away.

Sabbam Hari started his political career with the Indian National Congress (INC) and served as the Mayor of Visakhapatnam. He also won as a MP from the INC in 2009.

After the INC, he was also the part of the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.) However, due to differences with the YSRCP President, he quit the party.

Later, in 2019, Sabbam Hari joined the Nara Chandrababu Naidu led TDP.
