Ongole: Murder attempt on Telugu Desam party senior leader and Telugu Rythu wing chief Marreddy Srinivasa Reddy created ripples at Ongole. Marreddy was attacked at a private hospital while he went there to deal with a financial transaction.
As per the information provided by the Ongole police, Srinivasa Reddy went to Janata Institute of Medical Sciences (JIMS) Ongole to meet Dr. M Ramachandra Reddy. Both were discussing a financial dispute which led to an argument.
Dr. Ramachandra Reddy along with a guy named Balu attacked Srinivasa Reddy with iron rods and sharp objects and attempted to kill him.
Patients noticed the incident and informed local police. Srinivasa Reddy was admitted at a corporate hospital. Police registered a case and recorded the statement of Reddy. Police said that the reasons for the clash is yet to be found.
Meanwhile, Telugu Desam party chief N Chandra Babu Naidu condemned the attack on Srinivasa Reddy.
