The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) staged a protest, on the fifth day of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget session 2022-2023, the 14th of March, Monday.

According to sources, after the resumption of the Budget Assembly, the ruling and opposition Members of the Legislative (MLAs) started to accuse each other over deaths in Jangareddygudem.

Recently, approximately 16 people died in Jangareddy region of West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.  Although the probe behind the sudden death is underway, the reason is said  to be due to illicit consumption of contaminated arrack.  The West Godavari police registered a case and launched an investigation.

While the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) counterattacked the accusations of the TDP, the opposition leaders blamed the YSRCP for the killings that happened in Jangareddygudem.  Responding to the allegations, the YSRCP ministers said that the Nara Chandrababu led TDP had started filthy politics to take advantage of the natural deaths.

The ruling party leaders have blamed the TDP for distorting natural deaths in Jangareddygudem and deliberately spreading false propaganda.   Furthermore, the Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu said that the TDP is a patent for such filthy politics.

The blame game continued in the Assembly budget session, which heated the arguments, following which the TDP MLAs protested indefinitely.   Reacting to the protests, the YSRCP MLAs, Mr. S.N. Padu,  MLA Mr. T.G.R. Sudhakar Babu, along with senior MLA Mr. Jogi Ramesh and other leaders demanded suspension of the TDP MLAs from the entire budget session.  asked the Assembly Speaker Mr. Taminneni Sitaram to suspend the TDP MLAs.

On the other hand, considering the ruckus, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Mr. Taminneni Seitaram adjourned the session, to tomorrow.

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget Session started from the 7th of March and is expected to continue till the 25th of March.
